Our staff will welcome you to Siem Reap airport, and then transfer you to the hotel. Have lunch at your own expense. After lunch, take joy in discovering local tourist attractions in the well-known Angkor complex. It’s thrilling to discover the unparalleled interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan and Srah Srang (once called the “Royal Baths” as it was used for ritual bathing). Next, the temple tour will shed light on Banteay Kdei with four concentric walls. Don’t miss Ta Prohm temple, built in the Bayon style of the late 12th century. Ta Prohm was also filmed in the Hollywood “Tomb Raider” movie.
You will be also excited to see Neak Pean which is a fountain constructed in the midpoint of the pool. Its location embodies the paradisiac Himalayan mountain-lake concept. Keep walking to arrive at Preah Khan temple built in the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII. Among the ruins are age-old trees and growing vegetation, which ignites a mysterious look.

The breakfast time at the hotel will be followed by the discovery of Angkor Thom (the latest capital city of the Khmer empire, built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII). Go for a stroll around the South Gate (the tourists’ main entrance) to admire the large statues of gods and demons. Located in the center of Angkor Thom is the richly-decorated Khmer temple of The Bayon with around 54 towers carved by over 200 gigantic faces of the Bodhisattva of Compassion (Avalokitesvara). Other highlights include the Hindu temple of Phimeanakas, Royal Enclosure, Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
There will be a great time to discover the world’s largest religious monument ever built: Angkor Wat. Built in the early 12th century by King Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat remains gigantic and magnificent that attract people to admire the classical Khmer art, architecture, Apsara carvings, etc., and the magnetic sunset view from temple ruins. The Wat has been a national symbol of the country and appeared on the national flag. Around sunset, stay on the top of Pre Rup temple for fantastic twilight sightseeing.

After that, take a drive to Phnom Kulen (Mountain of the Lychees) that is famous for the Grand Buddha Statue, the River of Thousand Lingas, and the Waterfall. This mountain is best for doing homage to the Buddha, sightseeing, and admiring the pristine beauty of Nature. Geographically, the mountain was formed of sandstone. Also, this is known as a holy mountain in Cambodia which is often visited by pilgrims.

Along the drive back to the city, there will be time to explore Banteay Srey (Citadel of Women), which was built in the 10th century as a Hindu temple dedicated to god Shiva. This temple is recognized for the intricacy of bas relief carvings that result in its name as the Citadel of Beauty. Next, enjoy sightseeing at Banteay Samre which is also a fantastic Hindu temple of the early 12th century.

Eat breakfast at the hotel, and then get ready for a cruise on the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia: Tonle Sap Lake. The target for our boat trip is Kampong Phluk Village. The exciting voyage will cheer you up with various floating sites of schools, houses, police station, and more. It will be surprising to know that the village will move from place to place due to the water level and current. Take your opportunities to take pictures of the water-based life activities and mingle with the Khmer people.
